Death to Him. Dedicated to Nicole Toroosian. The Nike Story™ is The untold mythical story of the Goddess Nike. Alis volat propriis. 'Death to Him' is a song sung by Lord Zeus to the unnamed and unknown man. It follows the Gods' unsuccessful scheme to end the love story between the man and goddess Nike. The Muses tricks the man into a trap and Zeus issues this resentful and furious declaration of his intentions. The music to this song is an arrangement of 'God is Dead’(Midnight Serenade) by Jim Steinman, who owns the copyright thereto, and serves as a tribute to him. The imagery within the lyrics is intended to be graphically portrayed with Zeus high above looking down on a scene that surrounds the bewildered man. The scene depicting the torments of the underworld on mankind. At the 'Don't you know...' line Zeus flashes lightning bolts that sends smoke into the air on which a scene is depicted of Zeus and a female form flirting with eachother. As the scene progresses, the female form morphs into the image of a variety of goddesses and mortal women, the last of whom crumbles into dust. None of these resemble the gracious and beautiful goddess Nike. Zeus then makes his declaration and exits the scene in anger leaving the man in a hell hole. The 'o'pyro' lines are sung by the Muses.
